I think he may be saying that the death of this bill will allow the R’s to draft a better deal in Feb.
Personally I think this bill should die now.

to risk a great depression in order to make political hay in 2012 is not a solution It's not risking a Great Depression to stop a bloated budget-busting bill like this.
The GOP can simply extend current tax rates next month, retroactive to Jan. 1 2011.
And if the Dow falls a few thousand this month, so be it. Would be a great time to buy some bargain stocks.
