As things get worse, some of us miss GW, some miss Clinton. And no matter how bad things get, nobody misses Carter. We can be in the middle of a mayan-calendar-end-of-days-meltdown and no one even then looks back with nostalgia for the good old days when Carter was at the helm.
I was just thinking about the fact that, as Obama implodes, he has Clinton at the podium. I suppose when things get really bad maybe he’ll have a trifecta, both Bushes flanking Clinton to reassure America that things are OK. The day we flip on the TV and Carter is standing there, we’ll know we’d better head for a safe place and start re-reading Revelation.
So true. I would prefer GW back, but better Clinton than BO. As I said before, Clinton at least seemed to like our country.
