LePage Says He'll Back Snowe Against Primary Challenge
FOX 23 ^ | Dec 8, 2010 | News 13

Senator Snowe has recently come under criticism from conservatives, who say she's not conservative enough. LePage, who's a favorite among the die-hard conservatives in Maine, says he'll continue to support Snowe, who -- along with her late husband Peter Snowe -- helped a young LePage get into Husson College.

Growing up, LePage only spoke French and not much English, so Peter Snowe helped LePage take Husson's entrance exams in French, opening the door to his education that put him on the track leading him to business success, and now the Blaine House.

Sounds like a Palin obligatory endorsement.

FYI, LePage is governor-elect of Maine, an absolute miracle of electoral politics.

His campaign promises include telling Obama to go to hell and replacing state welcome signs reading "The way life should be" with "Open for business" (the state is notoriously unfriendly to business and the job pool reflects it).

He ran away from a troubled home as a boy and is a self-made man.

If he’s so conservative, then how can he support the likes of Snowe? Country and freedom first; friendship second, IMO.

He got my vote, as well as many others of my family.

I’ve rarely seen knickers so twisted into knots as while he was campaigning, so I knew he had to be alright. This state was built on the backs of the Franco-Americans; about time one has the chance to run the show.

I love Paul LePage. I’d do whatever he told me to do.

You can't run against someone with no one.

Also, the alternative is hugely worse. 2 Socialists Dem's were just re-elected as U.S.Reps in Maine. A conservative has no chance.

The key is to get way more conservative Senators elected where they can , and make Snowe irrelevant.

Then, go out there and find an electable candidate to go against Snowe and let Snowe know that you’re looking 24/7. Snowe needs to know she can be beat by a candidate that puts country first before their own pathetic self-interests.

Because of the numbers, Snow and Collins are both still relevant in this lame duck session. However, when the new congress is seated next year, they will both be totally irrelevant. The House of Representatives will be the focal point for legislation and, in the Senate, neither of these Senators will be necessary to prevent a 60 vote filibusterer override.
