The Duchess of Cornwall was physically attacked through an open car window as thugs rampaged through London, the Standard can reveal today.
A rioter managed to push a stick through an open window of the limousine and jab her in the ribs. Camilla's terrifying ordeal came as a baying mob surrounded her and husband Prince Charles when they rode through central London in the vintage Rolls-Royce last night.
A police source said one of the car's rear windows was opened by mistake as tuition fee protesters moved in. The attack is the biggest royal security breach in decades and raises new questions about the protection of the couple.
The Standard can now reveal the breach was even more serious than first appeared, with thugs managing to reach deep into the car's interior.
Armed officers were seconds from drawing their weapons but the police driver managed to accelerate away from trouble. Police sources have revealed that the Duchess was “very scared” when the yob leaned into the car.

Awhile back, I was reading the autobiography of a urban revolutionary who was active in the US in late 1970’s.
His group had decided that the time was right to start an armed revolution and bring down the government. But after deliberation, the group decided against it.

Exactly!!! AND there is no end of seditious and dangerous political entities who feed them perpetual drivel about being exploited, disadvantaged, underserved, oppressed, etc.
It is the same nauseating story everywhere. In the US, where opportunities, resources and nearly endless assistance abound, the monotonous repetition of demands and complaints from this element is maddening!!!
My philosophy has always been: If you can’t succeed in AMERICA with all the educational, economic, social employment opportunities, then you are completely lazy and near-imbecile!!!

In this case I am rooting for the Royal Parasites. Personally, I can’t stand either Charles or Camilla, but they should be able to drive in London without being attacked by a mob.

I am unimpressed with police in this stormy situation. A few well placed high pressure water hoses on a very cold day would have saved a lot of trouble. Hose them into the gutter. Common sense seems to be lacking.

I'm sure that security is very, very interested to hear that, being that it should be bulletproof glass and all. Doesn't that glass break down and need replacing often?
Fortunate that they only got attacked by a bunch of dumb disorganized anarchists, rather than someone really intent on causing damage.

'Tis one reason why I don't live in the city anymore. I don't pretend to be completely safe where I am, but I figure that there are a lot of miles between me and MLK Blvd....a wide DMZ makes for good neighbors.
