If the middle class tax cuts put in place last decade would have expired, that would have cost our economy nearly a million jobs, Obama said.
so why did you wait until the last minute to fix this problem?
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
So he just saved us another million jobs, libs. Time to celebrate. Conga line...
Kinda like Afghanistan or the surge in Iraq... he was against it before he was for it.
Guess he had to think about it.
Suddenly, a tax cut is the same as debt stimulus.
No wonder the left exploded.

Do you mean that reducing taxes and more jobs go hand in hand? Who knew?
He may as well stop talking; nobody believes anything he says anymore. His side doesn’t believe him; our side doesn’t believe him. This is where most malignant narcissists end up eventually: they run out of people gullible enough to believe a word they say. Obama just got there faster than most.
He’s got a long way to go before he’ll be considered “moderate” by any significant portion of the voters, too. Better get used to disappointment, libs.
But we all know if we confiscated hundreds of billions of dollars from “wealthy” taxpayers and used that to pay more unemployment benefits, that would have created TEN million jobs! (according to the fevered economic thinking of Wash DC Dems)
“If the middle class tax cuts put in place last decade would have expired, that would have cost our economy nearly a million jobs, Obama said.”
I thought he’s been saying all along that they were tax cuts for the rich.
So wait!
You mean low taxes HELP the economy?
He is such a liar.
So, boy this is confusing, so most of the Bush tax cuts were good? Is that what he’s saying? Most of the tax cuts under Bush were for the middle class and if we lost them it would have meant losing jobs, because he and his party didn’t seem to believe that before.
What utter, leftist, class warfare hogwash. Letting the middle class tax cuts expire wouldn't have lost the jobs - it's the tax cuts on those making $250K and above, that would have cratered job creation.
Very few middle class people actually create jobs, but nearly everyone in the upper brackets does, either directly, or through their various investments in the private sector. They also purchase high end goods and services that support whole industries of workers.
This is the simple argument that I was hoping to hear the Republicans make, but few of them seem to have done so.
Okay, so now that we’ve established beyond all doubt that tax increases severely harm the economy and hinder job creation, what happens to the Rat party?
Oh, come on. You know how this all works. It only takes one or two news cycles for the average rat voter to achieve full amnesia of any Democrat flip-flop.
Trying to tie this around Obama's neck in a few months will be futile - even with video and links to every article written about it. Donkeys ain't the brightest of animals, ya know.
