A cable that was released in the massive intel dump by Wikileaks on Nov. 28 makes mention of a party put on by an unknown prince and US-based energy-drink company. The party which was attended by Saudi royalty and other wealthy Saudi youth is purported to have cocaine, hashish, and black-market alcohol all available to the patrons.
The cable, entitled UNDERGROUND PARTY SCENE IN JEDDAH: SAUDI YOUTH, goes on to elaborate, that a number of the guests were in fact working girls, not uncommon for such parties.
This comes as a surprise due to the fact that Saudi Arabia is known as a one of the more conservative Arab countries. Saudi Arabia has a religious police force (The Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice) that was created to break up and prevent this type of behavior.
The cable ends by stating:
The increased conservatism of our society over these past years has only moved social interaction to the inside of peoples homes.
The cable was written by Consul General Martin R. Quinn, and originated from the Jeddah consulate.
Wikileaks, the website that leaked hundreds of thousands of classified cables, documents, and other transcripts, has recently been under scrutiny. Their website was brought down by a denial of service attack. Wikileaks Julian Assange has been arrested recently for other offenses outside the United States.

“comes as a surprise”
What a joke. Anybody that knows anything about Saudi society would not be surprised about any such behavior outside of Riyadh.

On the Kunduz Regional Training Center (RTC) DynCorp event of April 11 (reftel), Atmar reiterated his insistence that the U.S. try to quash any news article on the incident or circulation of a video connected with it. He continued to predict that publicity would “endanger lives.” He disclosed that he has arrested two Afghan police and nine other Afghans as part of an MoI investigation into Afghans who facilitated this crime of “purchasing a service from a child.”
