Don't forget the reason that Great Britain colonized Kenya in the first place: to force a recalcitrant country to give up the slave trade a generation after our Civil War ended.

It is likely that Obama's Daddy's ancestors (as much Arab as black, by the way), profited highly from the slave trade. Almost all descendants of former slaves in America trace their ancestry back to the countries along the west central coast.

Almost all of them were captured and sold into slavery by Muslim traders along Africa's east central coast, notably Kenya's Luo Tribe.
