I have no intention of ever buying a new car ever again. Too expensive. And it is about to get a lot more expensive.

If ad when I need another vehicle, I'll have my boss at work (I work in an auto parts store) look for something simple like a 1980's era Chevy Cavalier/Celebrity (or related cars) that is still in good shape and just drive that and try to fix up my 1977 Mercury Cougar. Parts for those are common and I hope I find with with the 2.5 liter "Iron Duke."

I feel sorry for the poor kid that got run over, but his old man (and woman) is an oaf for not watching him. We had a 1968 Buick Wildcat when I was little, my parents always minded me around the car.

Yup. I have a 93 4Runner with the 22R engine. I expect to get 300K miles. My other car, a Neon, will probably fall apart but it is cheap to repair.
