These dems know it will pass and know it NEEDS to pass. This economy is on life support and any tax hike would pull the plug. The left wing screamers are doing this for their base. And they KNOW there are enough dems on board to pass this. Lots of dems barely won re-election and they have to run again in 2 years.

#4 If they wait till Jan. to take up tax issues wont this become Obama’s tax cut if you will. Do we want that?

First off, this is not a "tax cut". This is the continuation of existing tax rates. Nothing, absolutely nothing is getting cut by leaving the rates where they are. If they expire, especially in the shadow of the "compromise" by the WH and Repubs, then the ensuing tax INCREASES are solely the doing of the Dems in Congress, and will be known as the "Obama tax increase", which incidentally will be the largest in the history of the country. Additionally, the Dems will have screwed over the unemployed proletariat in the process.

I hope the Dems do walk out, because not even the sycophantic media would be able to spin it in a way makes anyone with an IQ above room temperature realize who is at fault for money coming out of their pocket. in 2011.

I suspect so. The Repubs will pass a retro package first thing in January and maybe a tax holiday as a fixup.
