Disagree. Obama will play the class card again in 2012.

The class card didn't work this time around, did it?

The race card doesn't work anymore, does it?

We're winning the argument. And, if you ran polls with the right questions, you'd find that most voters support the Republicans on the extension.

Otherwise, why would the Democrats and the President agree to it?

Do the words “We’re Broke” mean anything to you ?

The high rate of unemployment and the Tea Party are what worked. The Reps were the beneficiaries of the public's unrest, not because they had a better plan or program. If they continue to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, they will become a third party.

Otherwise, why would the Democrats and the President agree to it?

Obama was dealt a bad hand, but outsnookered the Reps to get a 13 month extension in unemployment benefits; extended many of his targetted tax cuts; got an increase in the estate tax; and will probably get the START treaty passed this session along with DADT and an outside shot a the DREAM Act. The Reps are still stuck with favoring tax cuts for the rich for the next two years.

The polls show that most Americans favor taxing the rich more. No matter how you wish to rephrase the question, you will get the same answer. 47% of Americans don't pay any income tax at all.
