This is not a sell out. It puts the tax situation front and center in the 2012 election. The voters should be forced to choose what they want. The problem is that too many voters want non-reality. They want low taxes and lots of government spending.

The reality is that January 1 low income taxpayers were going to have a tax increase just like the higher tax brackets. Who knows which party they would blame the most? This was a good compromise. The goal is to win the war. Not every skirmish. The bottom line is that everyone’s income taxes stay the same for two more years. The estate tax compromise will be a lot less confiscatory than what was going to happen automatically on 1/1/11. When we increase the conservative majority next election we can further fix things.

Wong wrong wrong.... the extension is to short to boost the economy. Unemployment will stay high and Obama will own the issue...See it didnt work...

The stupid party really is the stupid party....

Obama will be reelected and the demos will gain in the house and senate
