Yeah, cancer isn't always an automatic death sentence anymore, but there are times it still is. I have a friend that graduated a year ahead of me in high school (1984) who had breast cancer, so far as we know, she's clean in that respect but still has to deal with the aftermath of infections from breast reconstructive surgery and so on.
Prayers up for Elizabeth Edwards and her family, let's hope for a miracle. When I heard this tonite, I was really bummed, cancer is a disease I would not wish on my worst enemy.
