Dandy Don was the best Monday Night Football ever had when he was paired up with Howard Cosell. I loved listening to those guys!!!

Howard played the ‘straight man’ on MNF to Don Meredith without even knowing it.
once during a broken play, a quarterback just lowered his head to run forward.after pickin up 4 yards and facing a rushing cornerback head on.......the qb stepped outta bounds
...Cosell screamed WHY DID HE STEP OUTTA BOUNDS instead of takin on the tackle

One Monday night the Browns were being beaten badly, and he sang "the party's over" in the middle of the 3rd quarter. He said something to the effect that the Browns were being so embarrassed he didn't have to wait until the 4th to sing. I don't know if he ever sang it in the 3rd quarter again.
