The larger matter is the subsequent apology and the fact that discrimination directed against the one group is tolerated, as well as the preconceived notion that when whites gather, under any pretext, it's for detrimental or racist reasons. Demeaning inferences that suggest white bigotry, wherever they are made, should evoke the same offense as vile stereotypes being unfairly attributed to black and Hispanic males.

It's the point made in the above that really needs to be examined. Why is it that, when Whites gather, the assumption is automatically drawn that we're up to no good or are not to be trusted? Notice, the automatic assumption in this case -- as in other cases -- is that a "White Student Union" is, by pure definition, a racist entity ... while a "Black Student Union" is not. Why is this not being addressed by the ACLU? Oh ... wait ... I know why. Never mind.
