Being from Oregon, myself, what really is irritating is the bell, book and sandal kooks not only messed in their own nest they had to export that crap North and destroy Oregon.

Indeed the media fails to cover the fact that the mexicans that work in California send money back to Mexico so they can ship more Mexicans here.

CA is where the money WAS. My company is emptying buildings as fast as possible in San Diego. The only reason the cafeteria hasn't been closed is due to patronage from employees of adjacent companies. Even so, the staff is 1/3 the size it was 18 months ago. I wouldn't be surprised if my group gets moved out of San Diego and located in Omaha for proximity to the customer. The corporate headquarters moved to Mclean, VA last year. For my company, weather isn't the draw. It is proximity to customers. Navy, SPAWAR, Marines and their political support.

CA is where the money WAS. It's the biggest economic state by *far* in the entire country...Lets be honest, states like Idaho, Nebraska and or or VA, have tiny little economies when compared...I could provide you with *many* sources, but you already know this.

For my company, weather isn't the draw. By the way, I could care less what draws your company...In today's environment, with the communication technology available, the need to be close to a client, is nearly pointless.
If ya think I'm joking, nearly 85 percent of everything ya purchase isn't even made in this country anymore and most large companies have clients *all* over the globe.
My comment about the weather in Idaho being colder than the inside of my refrigerator, was based on my preference of liking year around near perfect weather, like we have in Southern California.
The weather here alone is worth a fortune to us.
Cold just plain sucks, and I personally don't want to live in a refrigerator.
Good luck!

When I'm working from my home office in Idaho, I have no commute. In San Diego, I spend an hour in heavy traffic in the morning and another hour in heavy traffic going home in the evening. The sunny hours of the day are when I'm trapped in the office. It's just damn expensive and inconvenient to be stuck working in San Diego. The weather is not a good trade off for massive traffic jams, high taxes, high cost of goods, nanny state regulations on everything in sight (guns, cars, toilets, lawn sprinklers, ammo), drive by shootings and Mexican cartels running drugs in spitting distance. I prefer freedom...even if the temperature is lower in the winter.

We have friends up north and west of you near the Snake River...Their high temperatures the other day was like 6 degrees. We had to laugh, after looking in our freezer and finding it was much warmer than their place in Idaho...lol
Been there done that in the Military...Never again....Not me!

No, we were talking about beautiful beaches, snow covered mountains, vast deserts, and year round near perfect weather etc.. Texas has none of that....lol
