He might have a point, every socialist country seems to blame their bad economies and farm output on a “drought”
lol.
Criminal capitalism? hmmmmmm, I’m sure Hugo can fix all that with carbon credits ... he’s running out of legitimate businesses to nationalize.
I notice that the NY Daily News doesn’t trouble itself to suggest that maybe Chavez is wrong. Perhaps they agree with him.
And then there’s this: “While he couldn’t fit all 70,000 flood victims into his plush mansion, he did allow 25 to stay in the presidential palace, according to Reuters.”
Gee, wasn’t that generous. How long did he let them stay? One night? Tough luck on the other 69,975 he offered his hospitality to. But again, the reporter doesn’t seem to find anything a bit strange or demented about this.
I guess he thinks Chavez is a nice guy. And that it’s time for the Global Warming Conference in Cancun to get its act together and send him some money.
Update....
CARACAS, Venezuela President Hugo Chavez said Sunday that he would force privately owned hotels to help shelter tens of thousands of Venezuelans who have left their homes due to floods and mudslides caused by weeks of torrential rains.

I’m surprised. I thought for sure he would have said it was Bush’s fault.
Chavez is a lunatic.
Bush/Rove/Cheney must have taken that weather machine with them when they abandoned the WH.
Totalitarian clowns on parade.
Hooboy! This guy is out there.
He’s Obama’s friend. Or at least Obama thinks so.
