Pollard caused a great deal of harm to the United States. He also caused the expenditure of many billions of dollars and hundred of thousand of technical man hours. And the info that he passed to Israel was subsequently transferred to the then Soviet Union.
Pollard should rot in jail for the rest of his life. He was trusted by his country and he became a traitor.
Pollard — and Israel — violated their express promises to the US to help assess and remedy the damage done to US security by Pollard’s spying for Israel. That is why Pollard was justly found in violation of his plea agreement and is likely to die in prison.
