Buried in a front page article about Republican Governor-elect Paul Lepage, is this little ditty; LePage will ask his Attorney General to join the lawsuit already signed on by 20 other states against Obamacare. He then says,
"I am going to be sitting with our attorney general and asking him to join the (health care reform) lawsuit against the federal government," he said, adding he just learned that if 35 states join the suit, the law "dies, automatically."

Has anyone else heard this mentioned anywhere? Maine will make 21, the new governors could add a few more, and then pressure all the others.
If so, one of the best things I’ve heard from Paul since he was elected. He also stated that state jobs would be cut 10-15 percent. That’s probably a good goal for year 1 but I can’t imagine that another 20 percent could go along with the regulations, programs and needless oversight that they incur.
If 35 states join the lawsuit against ObamaCare, then the law will die automatically.
This is excellent. Freepers, TEA Partiers, and others need to find out the states which haven’t filed suit and make them file.
I have not heard this before. I hope its true.
ObamaCare dumps unfunded and totally unaffordable hallucinatory new mandates on the states in the form of new Medicaid coverage for the democrat party parasite class.
Why oh why did Chris Christie refuse to get on board?
It doesn’t sound right to me. Why 35? 34 is more than 2/3, and it takes 38 to be more than 3/4.
A leftist judge will take it upon himself/herself to assume the role of dictator and try to stop it stating that following the Constitution is unconstitutional.
>> I hope its true <<
It’s cloud-cuckoo nonsense. About as likely as when you give a Nigerian your bank account number and password, five million U.S. dollars will show up in your account tomorrow.
It’ll take just one federal whack-o judge to throw the whole thing out ...
Don’t get your hopes up. The number of parties, even when they are states, to a lawsuit determines the outcome of the lawsuit.
I think the governor was misinformed by the person who made that claim. If thirty-eight state legislatures acted on a constitutional amendment forbidding the federal government from engaging in running health care, then Obamacare would be dead — as would Medicare and Medicaid.
Hopefully Lepage didn't say that, because it's wrong.
“Why oh why did Chris Christie refuse to get on board?”
Excellent question indeed!
I would really be interested in his answer. His refusal seems to run counter to his other actions.
“Why oh why did Chris Christie refuse to get on board?”
Perhaps conservatives in New Jersey can persuade him to get on board. The TEA Party has been effective so far.
>whack-o-judge
Sounds like a game where a judge pops out and then you take this whacking-stick and...
Is there a list of the 20 states which have already filed suit?
“If 35 states join the lawsuit against ObamaCare, then the law will die automatically.”

This is not true.
Ya know - an enterprising person could come up with something like that. Hey, let’s play “Whack-A-Judge” The way the game works is you have a pile of cards with insane verdicts and when you get one that has a star or something on it you get to whack a judge. But I think there’s a whacka something game already out there and it’d be copyright infringement or something.
Perhaps this is true. Perhaps it’s not. In any case, this is the perfect opportunity to sniff out leftist trolls. They are the ones most likely to dismiss this out of hand, without doing any research at all.
