When was Bradly Manning arrested? Was it before, during or after the BP fiasco this summer? It's a little puzzling that Assange would have much on BP. Maybe the dates do coincide.

What's worse about this is if there's nothing on Russia in that "Poison Pill", there's even more reason to believe he's going to quickly be assuming room temperature. If Russia has nothing to lose, and everything to gain by his death, the calculus is not very complicated for Putin - he's crazy that way.

Manning was arrested in May of 2010 (no specific day given), the Deep Water Horizon explosion happened on April 20, 2010.
