I’ve told the “it’s no worse than booze” crowd for years, that is no reason to increase the pollution level of the culture.

Here’s my take (or toke): Let Californica legalize it. If we can get results like this on the 405 it won’t take long to decimate the state. We just might be able to shut the whole mess down, turn off the lights and NOT have to bail out these mutants!

A police spokesman who declined to give his name said the man, a Moroccan national, had tested positive for marijuana.

I'm thinking that the pot relaxed his inhibitions just enough to unlease his inner jihadi...

Colorado is now dealing with the issue of how soon after smoking pot a person should be allowed to drive a car.

Unintended consequences.....of course not. They wanted the money, knew the risks, but didn’t give a damn about the rest of the citizens.

Frankly, my dear, I don’t want my school bus driver smoking pot.

“...the driver...a Moroccan national, had tested positive for marijuana.” “...cyclists who were riding in the opposite direction...”

Or maybe instead reflexively pitting ourselves against anyone that causes even a moment of inconvenience, we could focus on the real problem. A driver that hurts or kills a cyclist extremly likely to also be a danger to children, pedestrians and, yes even, other drivers.

I don’t understand . . . I thought pot was a benign substance? How could something being promoted as a miracle herb result in such tragedy?

STONED MOROCCAN AT THE WHEEL:

Seven cyclists die in head-on crash with car in southern Italy

Police said the Moroccan driver “was under the influence of drugs and moreover was driving without a license”.

First reports said the accident occurred when the driver lost control of his car while trying to overtake another on a main road in the Catanzaro region of Calabria.

He was unable to brake in time and hit the cyclists head on before careening into a ditch.

SEVEN cyclists were killed and four injured when a car rammed into a group of amateur club bikers in southern Italy.

“There are seven dead and four injured,” said police.

Tests on the driver showed that he was under the influence of cannabis at the time of the accident, the Italian news agency ANSA reported.

He had lost his licence seven months earlier for careless driving, the agency added.
