The US diplomatic cables reveal how the US seeks dirt on nations opposed to its approach to tackling global warming; how financial and other aid is used by countries to gain political backing; how distrust, broken promises and creative accounting dog negotiations; and how the US mounted a secret global diplomatic offensive to overwhelm opposition to the controversial "Copenhagen accord", the unofficial document that emerged from the ruins of the Copenhagen climate change summit in 2009.

More actions from our govt that run contrary to the best interest of our country...

It empowers individual govt bureaucrats, but damages our country in the process...

Enough is enough.

“how financial and other aid is used by countries to gain political backing”

Let’s call it what it is: Tax payer funded BRIBERY. That’s an illegal practice for us little people.

broken promises and creative accounting dog negotiations

Dog negotiations? Obama is such a wimp he's now negotiating with dogs?

Enough is enough! Tell those dogs to accept our proposal or there'll be no Kibbles and Bits.;-)

I am appalled and disgusted by Wikileaks revealing anything that puts our military at greater risk, but I am beginning to see some benefit of revealing some of the shenanigans the US Govt is engaged in.

This is not what I want my Govt doing.

Aren’t Obama and his cabal the same people who decry American foreign policy that might offend our allies? They now push policies through deceit that in no way represent the policies of the American people but rather those of Lenin or Putin.

If Assange helps bring down both Clintoon AND Bambi, then the cloud indeed has a silver lining.

Just who do they think they are using US funds to bribe and coerce other countries into this scam.

This hoax would be nothing more than a huge tax on the US.

We need a govt that has our best interests in mind, not a bunch of bureaucrats looking for job security.

Me too. It is becoming clear that the our government is infested with bureaucrats with an agenda that is contrary to America's traditional values.

With all of this raw information without it being twisted and rebroadcast, there must be some "Bush's fault" in there some where. /s

Yep,,, Assange is no friend, but he is exposing numerous treasons in the state department. It is beginning to look like they are fully working against the interests of the US Patriot and taxpayer.

Secrecy has a place, but it is clearly being used to hide wrongdoing, and a wholesale sellout of the USA.

I keep hating Assange,,, yet, find myself learning ways the US government works against me. I think it’s an unintended consequence for him,, but he is arming Patriots who want their nation back.

Not to paraphrase “the one”. But it really is time for normal America to place a boot FIRMLY on the throat of this government. TEA needs to grow and become stronger until it is impossible for a party to govern without them being on-board,,,

That's been a classic description of the State Department for a long, long time.

All the way back to McCarthy era. Thats what he said was going on. Venona calbles vindicated him 40 years later,,,

State hides their activites in secrecy. They arent classifying nuclear launch codes,,, they are classifying evidence that they are working against America.

Very much...although it could be quite embarassing for some of our more Liberal Globalist posters on FR, who have pretty much called for Assange to be fed to starving Zimbabweans....the WikiLeaks have been most troubling for Clinton and Obummer....which has to be good for patriotic conservative Americans
