I regard the general forums very differently, like being out on the street.

Same rule (no profanity) appears in the reply box in all forums.

Why do you not swear in church or temple?

I don’t expect people to bother me on the street and I believe that I have much more freedom in public. In places of worship, there is an implicit agreement to decorum.
