Exactly.

All anyone who wants to see the info in the file has to do is take out Assange.

That's why I think his 'sources' are named in the file as well as the 'goods' he has on various governments.

Assuming the major parties including Assange (and his trust) arrive at some understanding “the key” is not to be released, will the major parties protect him from the grips of an outside operation that could jeopardize the arrangement?

Any party of Assange’s trust involved in unlocking the alleged “information nuke” would be found and prosecuted. They, if “they” exist, may not be all that eager to pull the pin especially in the case of an unexpected condition.

It could be argued that Assange needs the protection of those he’s threatening.
