I don’t think it will ever happen. We’re surrounded by cattle so terrified of bumping into someone and offending them that they’ll march directly into the slaughterhouse.

It will only get worse as our horrendous immigration policies further dilute what it ever meant to be an American.

I agree. I thought that with 9/11 Americans would realize that a policy of moral equivalence would not work. I thought we would finally have to stand for something and identify what that was. But, instead, we moved farther in the wrong direction, saying every belief system is equally “valid” and that we don’t have the right to “judge” the actions of others. As a nation we need to have a core belief, a national identity, and a willingness to ensure our own survival, but we refuse.
