Given the hundreds of thousands of large homeschooling families, maybe you are the one that’s sheltered. It could be that you don’t even know anyone that’s normal. What possible reason could a mature, principled person have to not want a large family. Laziness and self centeredness aren’t really conservative attributes.
Actually, the latest census shows that the average US family consists of 3.14 individuals. Far less than the 10+ that you believe is normal. Nonetheless, and despite my own opinion as to the size of families, you are more than welcome to procreate as much as you want to as long as it’s not on my dime.
