As a result of a huge arms sale, the government of Saudi Arabia is looking for a base in the United States to train F-15S pilots, and Mountain Home is believed to be high on the list of possible sites under consideration.

We'll just have to make sure the pilots are vetted to avoid an ‘Allahu akbar’ moment over Tuscon or Denver.

I would have thought this would be better suited for New Mexico or southern Arizona.

We have trained foreign militaries at our bases before. I attended Basic training (Air Force) at Lackland AFB in TX. We were also training Iranians there at the same time. Yup, Iranians. The Shah was still in charge, and they were allies at the time. 1977.

I trust the RSAF a lot. They’re good pilots and professionals. I don’t trust the Saudi royal family very much.

Why can’t we just train them in their own country?

What unit is responsible for flying Muz-CAP?

“Col. Buckley agreed that if Mountain Home AFB were selected, a lot of cultural awareness issues would have to be addressed,”

Oh, yes...like allowing them to enjoy jihad whenever the koranimals feel it’s in their best interest to murder us lowly kafirs at whim.

S.A. is the base for AQ’s funding, training & rehab of captured terrorists which they send out on jihad against the West once they’re reconditioned enough for combat with the blessing of the house of saud.

Also, what Air Base in S.A. were we recently booted from that we built for them?

Oh yeah! I didn’t think about that! Another great idea on how to assimilate them away from Islam!

Idaho is a little too conservative...they need some ‘diversity’...

No assimilation involved. Muslims have no qualms about indulging in decadent infidel pleasures before hacking their heads off.

King Fahd was regular in gambling circuits around the world.

Again, you don't get into the RSAF if you're even suspected of being an al-Queda sympathizer.

Would the dangers of an untrained RSAF be worse than one where we're watching the pilots and know who they are?

There has to be some risk management.

King Khalid Military City was the base; we have Kuwait; that suffices.

I remember training Vietnamese and Iranian pilots at Moody AFB Georgia. The Vietnamese were adequate but the Iranians were a disaster looking for a place to happen.

Let's see now...we've given them NASA, a ground-zero mosque, and now we're training them on OUR Air Force bases.

Not to mention that they have taken thousands of American lives on 9/11 and many other terrorist attacks.

I don't know that I'm comfortable turning muslims loose in OUR F15's in OUR country.

obama has GOT to go, he is the gateway to this debacle. Remember in 2012

I would have thought this would be better suited for New Mexico or southern Arizona.

Mtn. Home AFB (my former home sweet home) already has two Squadrons of F-15Es, and a training Squadron of F-15SEs for the Republic of Singapore.

Adding another training contingent for the Saudis is a perfect fit for what they're already doing.

This is not the first Saudi purchase of eagles. Saudi personnel trained in the US with their first batch in the early 80s. Can’t blame Obama for that.

Remember 1991

The only Iraqi plane to leave Iraq on a kill mission was downed by a Saudi pilot in an F 15

We have trained more foreign pilots at our air bases than you can count, all in the interest of a strong military industrial economy. I’d lay odds that a good number of them were anti American.
