Delaware Republican Christine O’Donnell criticized the national GOP for not spending money on her campaign, but the long-shot Senate nominee was sitting on a mountain of cash.

O’Donnell reported having $924,800 in the bank after the election was over, according to her post-general election campaign fundraising report, filed Thursday.

A RINO is no better than a Dhim, majority perks or no.

I’d like to know your age because if you think Nixon was a Mike Castle or that Goldwater’s loss was better than Nixon’s election, you either didn’t live it or weren’t paying close attention.

Goldwater’s loss was a disaster of historic proportions. Nixon stood against a tidal wave of leftism and defeatism.

Some here can't discern a decent candidate from a half-paramoid political amateur, who, upon the slightest hint of a tough question, would immediately accuse the interviewer of working for her opponent.

I supported Christine. You’re so glad Castle isn’t in but you don’t care leftist Coons IS in for 6 long years. I’d rather have had Fred Thompson too but all our rants will not change reality.

If Demonrat in GOP drag Mike Castle (pro-abortion, pro-gay everything, anti-gun, and untrustworthy on everything else) had been elected, he not only would have voted as comrade Coons will but he would have done so as a "Republican" drooling to support Obamao's every agenda. With O'Donnell there was a shot at actual victory. With Castle, no chance of victory. We just had that problem in Illinois by the nomination and, God help us, the election of alleged "Republican" Mark Nancyboy Kirk, servant of the bipartisan Illinois Combine and therefore of Daley's Chicago Machine. Now Illinois conservatives and actual Republicans have to waste six years putting everything else aside to destroy Kirk. When we do, a Demonrat will be elected and, if we are fortunate, six years after that, we elect a normal American.

You want villains in the Delaware race??? How about Karl Rove who savagely attacked her, no doubt because he had a lucrative deal in place as a consultant to Comrade Castle, the George McGovern of the Delaware "GOP," the windtunnel Delaware yacht club "GOP" leaders, Muffy and Skipper down at the polo club, Junior Leaguers, babykillers, lavender Louies, environmentalwhackos, and the spineless cowards and traitors such as Cornyn who run the Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee into the ground in their rank lust for electing establishment footstools to Senate seats across the land.

They wanted Alaska's pro-abort and utterly corrupt Princess of Privilege and hereditary senator Moocowski re-nominated and when they were thwarted by the mere GOP voters of Alaska who had the nerve to nominate an actual Republican in Joe Miller, the NRSCC then squandered funds attacking the unelectable Demonrat until Moocowski inherited his Demonrat votes and generally gave Miller the back of their hand. Moocowski re-elected and making the seat safe for the corruption for which her family and the senior GOP senators are known. Oh, golly, another case where conservatives are JUST unelectable!!! When will they ever learn to leave politics to the corrupt corps of money mandarins who know that politics is all about cash, payoffs, subsidies, fat contracts, big jobs with bigger paychecks and absolutely NEVER about principles and policies, which are just sucker bait for the dimwits.

Fortunately, Christine will have a million dollar fund as a base for purging the unprincipled idiots who tried to nominate Comrade Castle. More power to her. Coons isn't very bright and, through a reflexively Marxist and social revolutionary and anti-American voting record, he will help spoil the franchise for liberalism in Delaware.

Apparently the Utah message of purging Bennett did not sink in yet. Next time, we will see a lot more useful primaries to reform the spineless GOP Senate caucus.

If Comrade Castle had been nominated, nothing vaguely cognizable as "We" would have had any way of winning that race. Comrade Castle is not US. He is also an embarrassingly old fossil to be seeking a freshman term as a Senator but I digress.

She was only “unelectable” because she had the state GOP and Karl Rove and other RINO’s campaigning against her.

I’m talking about the things she said during interviews while she was campaigning. Did you ever hear her on Levin? Painful.

Add to that her overall demeanor and she just wasn’t electable. You can try to call me or whoever else a RINO all you want and it will never be true simply because we don’t agree about a candidate’s electability.

Just because I’m a conservative doesn’t mean that I have to think every conservative candidate is electable or right for the job. Would I have voted for her if I lived in DE? Yes, and although it would be a pail of water thrown off a sinking ship, it would be better than sitting there and drowning.

There are better conservatives out there than some of the ones who run for office, and Christine was just a very high profile example. Castle was a RINO that needed to go, but someone with a stronger personality than Christine would have been needed to replace him.

No one has fun with Christine’s PAC. She’s a perpetual reincarnated virgin. ;)

Reminds me something Andy Warhol once said: "I've been around so long, I knew Doris Day before she was a virgin."

Go here:
http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/cancomsrs/

Do a search on all Deleware candidates and you will see that Castle kept 1.9 million after his primary run with no debt and O’Donnell had 1.3 at the end of the general but she had listed debt of over a quarter of a million.

At the end of Joe Miller’s election he had to beg to get immediate money for legal help. He got some but his last file he was at 0.6.

You can run your own state through search and see all the candidates. I am actually glad that she didn’t end a run with big debt and no way to pay it off.

Old Keyes used to pay himself a salary on his Maryland runs. But the various laws are pretty restrictive and report intensive. Let’s see what she has on her next quarterly filing and compare her to lots of others.

With the cost of television, a popular candidate better hadn’t be short when the final accounting is due like Hillary was in the primaries. Not everyone can get a 2 million dollar shortfall covered by others like a Clinton can.

Threr really is not a whole lot of difference between Castle and Coons. They both would have voted for a lot of the same stuff. I would rather have all the socialists/progressives be ‘Rats.

I call BS on your comments. She got rid of Castle and that alone is worth the price of admission. We've played the RINO game enough to know that it doesn't advance the conservative cause...it just treads water or moves the party and country backwards. NO MORE RINO’s.

If Christine O’Donnell were to take that million dollars of conservative donations to her campaign and squander it on “charities”, typically foundations with privileged staff and more privileged paychecks, then I would be offended. I want her to use that conservative money to punish the unprincipled money-obsessed slimebags who run Delaware’s alleged “Republican” Party, to see to the election of conservative state central committee members, new conservative party officials who are actually Republican, and to affect public policy in Delaware and in the USA. She should use the money to multiply its amount and effect and make those who torpedoed her campaign wish they had never heard the word politics. That she can use the money to punish those who need punishment does not bother me in the slightest.

Powder for her next run.

She has already run 3-4 times and lost. This woman will never get nominated again. That cash will end up in her back pocket..somehow.

If the alternative is having to depend on nominating some Jay Rockefeller type so that our candidate will be affluent regardless of beliefs and principles or lack thereof, she can do all those things and it will be OK by me. Is it a disqualification to have modest means? Is the Senate suffering a shortage of spoiled millionaires???
