Napolitano: DREAM Act Helps Border Security
Fox News ^ | December 02, 2010 | Joy Lin

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano urged Congress to pass the DREAM Act, arguing that the statutory revision would help her agency "do its job of enforcing the nation's immigration law."

In a conference call with reporters Thursday, Napolitano said that, while the Dream Act is not a substitute for immigration reform, it would allow the DHS to focus its resources on deporting illegal immigrants with criminal records.

The DREAM Act would provide a path to legalization for children who arrived in the U.S. before the age of 16, lived in the U.S. for at least five years, earned a high school diploma or equivalent, and attended college or enlisted in the military for at least two years. An earlier version of the bill failed to pass the Senate in September.

“who were brought here through no fault of their own so they have no individual culpability, and who now want to go to college or serve in our armed forces,”

Well, it was somebody’s fault and not mine. It was the fault of citizens of another country. Also, how does she know these kids all want to attend college and become US soldiers?

It would be a lot easier considering cutting some kid a break IF the government was prosecuting any illegal alien, controlling the border, and acting like illegals are anything but “victims”.

The plan is all these kids become citizens, they add millions of democrat votes to give their parents amnesty. It’s all disgusting.

If for example Mexicans are such a wonderful people, then why doesn’t Mexico give these kids an education?

This is a classic usage of the theory of eventuality, which Glenn Beck spoke about a few weeks ago. It means that over time, creeping policy will eventually have to become permanent as it has become a part of our lives for so long, it becomes familiar.

Government intrusion is at an all-time high, but we aren’t rioting because the Liberals have eased the Federal Reserve, the New Deal, the Great Society, the EPA, the NEA and every other Left Wing ideal upon us, and we accept it as law.

The Progressives (Marxists) want to make a de-facto amnesty by saying and releasing “safe” illegal deportees back into the US.

Napolitano/Reid/Obama are taking the advice from Soros and the Center for American Progress and using bureaucracic means (DHS) to not stop illegal immigration and the EPA to effectively implement Cap and Trade.

We are merely taxpayers whose government has decided to rule, not represent.

Yup. You’re correct. My remarks were merely meant as an illustration of Ms. Janet’s ineptitude.

Related to Margaret Thatcher’s “ratchet effect”, ie, conservative governments never make up the ground lost to liberal governments, therefore nations slowly become permanently socialist.

And that’s exactly why zero asked her to head HHS. Incompetence, big guv mentality, lib/commie views. I can’t believe the people of AZ elected this POS as their governor. Then again, they voted overwhelmingly for Juan McCain to return to the Senate.

Ol’ Cow Face is so stupid and corrupt that she should be banned from speaking in public. She looks like a cow in the headlights every time. An affirmative action joke.

Create an incentive for MORE invading barbarians to come, THEN say it makes the border more secure?
What, the border is not secure now?!?!?!?! But Fat Teddy (now sober 15 months) told us:

"This amnesty will give citizenship to only 1.1 to 1.3 million illegal
aliens. We will secure the borders henceforth. We will never again
bring forward another amnesty bill like this."
            - Ted Kennedy, 1986

What a legacy -- a drunkard and a liar.

“who were brought here through no fault of their own so they have no individual culpability, and who now want to go to college or serve in our armed forces,”

Children of kidnappers, bank robbers, rapists, thieves and murderers aren't at fault, either. Yet we still put their parents in jail, causing suffering to the children. Let the anchor babies go with their parents back to their home countries. Period.

You can’t legalize only those illegal aliens who are without a “criminal” record. By law, they are ALL criminals. DO YOUR JOB NAPOLITANO!!!

Butch is a very experienced liar.

She had 6 years as Governor of Arizona to improve her expertise at lying.

She learned well.

Napolitan is wrong. A stupid comment. What is Napolitano’s IQ? My guess - it is very low.
