At least one fire was caused by arson. As for the rest, that still remains to be determined.
The main threat is over but a lot of mopping up work remains to be done before its extinguished.

9 months of drought and a “no clear cutting” management standard certainly made it easier for any arsonist ~ so if Israel wants to grow a forest they should bring in some people who know what to do.
