To: worst-case scenario
Members of the Congressional Tea Party Caucus may tout their commitment to cutting government spending now, but they used the 111th Congress to request hundreds of earmarks that, taken cumulatively, added more than $1 billion to the federal budget.

Was there even a Tea Party Caucus in the 111 Congress? I didn't think it was even in power yet. This is just saying that those members requested earmarks for their states at the time, not the formed caucus as a whole.

Be careful. The MSM is going to use every weapon in its arsenal including twisting words around.
