I think there are more similarities and parallels than differences in the RR/SP comparison. Beloved Ronnie used whatever vehicle he could to reach the masses, working around the establishment (media and party); Sarah is using the modern equivalents to get her message out. If it is reality TV and Facebook, so be it - it is what's available to her.
There are many layers to her Alaska program, a lot more depth there than first meets the eye. Not too many have picked up on the economics lessons she gave while discussing the fishing operations. Sarah has been there and done that. This is no lightweight and I think she is setting a baseline with this program.
