Ailes Rescues Another Journalist
American Spectator ^ | 12/01/10 | Paul Chesser

In September television station WJLA (the ABC affiliate in Washington) fired reporter Doug McKelway over his report about a demonstration by environmental groups, who protested during the BP/Gulf disaster over oil industry campaign contributions to members of Congress. Among other things his bosses were apparently displeased that McKelway called attention to President Obama's $77,051 in campaign contributions from BP.

Here's the report that got McKelway in trouble:

Now, according to the Washington Post, McKelway has been hired as a Washington-based general assignment reporter by the Fox News Channel. Roger Ailes rides to the rescue again.

Ailles need to start another station!

There is enough conservative news to go around- Let the current FOX news channel have the hour long host commentary shows, and have another that just reported news events as they happen around ther world, 24/7

Then liberal stations will have more and more talking heads willing to bad mouth Obammy to get a RAISE and go to a better station

10.6 million from “big oil”

31.2 million from “big green”

Yep, that’s some dirty secret alright. But you won’t see this reported on one side news outlets or green blogs.

Conservatives need to buy up local TV stations and even some newspapers. The leftwing media is the gratest threat to our country. It is where the moderates get their news, and the moderates decide who runs the country. If the MSM was not decidedly left Obama would have never won.

Hadn’t followed this story, but McKelway was one of the few network reporters I actually liked in the days when I watched local network news. His uncle for years did “Inside the Beltway” for the Washington Times. And, he’s VERY good looking.
