I did it once by drinking a whole fifth of peppermint schnapps in 10 minutes. One of the reasons I no longer drink. Still can’t stand the smell or taste of peppermint to this day.

Usually these kind of laws are the result of the holy-roller religious types who call themselves conservative while forcing their viewpoints on the rest of us. Sad, but true.
These are the same ones who protest legalizing gambling or the lottery.

That sounds a hell of a lot like the national beverage of the Pershing Rifles Military Fraternity! Otherwise known as “Agent Orange”

Well, I started the Moral Absolutes ping list so you might not see eye to eye with me on a lot of issues. ;-)
I think the state has no business in the gambling business. Just enriches its coffers. For one thing.
But 190 proof alocohol? I’d have to make it myself if I couldn’t buy it!

If people want to gamble and throw their money down, let them. Call it a self-made tax. You can choose to pay the tax or not, unlike all other taxes. Also you have a small chance of actually getting something back (if you win) unlike all other taxes.

To me, the irony is that you can't buy it in a liquor store but the state mandates that you buy the same damn thing at the gas station. ;~))

I always thought it would be a great marketing tool for guitar amps to be sold with 11 volume knobs. There indeed are such amplifiers, well, would you believe Marshall amp-look-alike radios?

At the end of the video is a little "seat of the pants" estimation of the proof of the brew. Interesting, but a bit optimistic... I think. It looked like that recipe used two jars of unaged corn whiskey, probably "Georgia Moon". That's sorta like real moonshine, only watered down to a more drinkable 80 proof. Plenty stout enough for a spiced holiday beverage, as long as you don't boil away the alcohol.
