I am Polish from Poland and let me tell you - there are plenty of redheaded people in Poland in fact... Pretty much the same as everywhere...
Polish people have all sorts of roots: Slavic (blond)
Asian-Turks & Mongols & Tatars etc. often came uninvited :) (dark hair and complexion)
Jewish
and much more...
So we are mixed people today and mixing more every day :)
Columbus may or may not be of Polish origin, we may find out one day, but no matter what his origins may be, besides travelling a lot he destroyed and plundered some beautiful peoples and cultures and lands and if you call that “civilization” then you should double check the definition of “civilized” in your dictionary...
Do you ever stop to think what the world would be like today if we were to encounter other civilizations and people in the spirit of friendship and peace and sharing rather than violence and rape and disrespect? We may just know so much more and be so much more today... so much richer as the human race...
Columbus is us - no matter where he came from ... And I am not happy to say that...
