The WikiLeaks founder, Julian Assange, is tonight facing growing legal problems around the world, with the US announcing that it was investigating whether he had violated its espionage laws.
Assange's details were also added to Interpol's worldwide wanted list. Dated 30 November, the entry reads: "sex crimes" and says the warrant has been issued by the international public prosecution office in Gothenburg, Sweden. "If you have any information contact your national or local police." It reads: "Wanted: Assange, Julian Paul," and gives his birthplace as Townsville, Australia.
Friends said earlier that Assange was in a buoyant mood, however, despite the palpable fury emanating from Washington over the decision by WikiLeaks to start publishing more than a quarter of a million mainly classified US cables. He was said to be at a secret location somewhere outside London, along with fellow hackers and WikiLeaks enthusiasts.

I think Obama is actually enjoying this. He is instinctively for anything that can paint a negative picture of America.
Will anybody be held responsible for not terminating the security clearence and net admin rights of an E-3 who was busted for assault?
could some of these “leaks” be coming from obama himself ? .... he certainly fits the profile of a “wikileaker”
ROFLMTO....PRICELESS!
We let him go. One mile above Siberia.
Former military people understand that ‘what’ is leaked has future implications, and the names of those who gave us information is in some of the documents. It puts those foreign sources lives in danger, and prevents others from giving our operatives further information....information that might stop a terrorist attack.
Lives are at stake, and conversations that might offend those the US has taken years to establish dipolomatic relations with ....are in those documents, that are leaked, and probably far worse documents are available; and the Pentagon is holding it’s breath the wrong one isn’t leaked that could start a war!
So far most of it was suspected or at least known, that is except for the insults. And the HOPES of getting more Intelligence is damaged for some time. Who will trust a country who can’t protect it’s secrets from world publication. A terrorist plan might be missed now, because of Wikileaks, and our sources will be afraid to talk to our operatives around the world.
There is a good reason for security clearances and ‘a need to know’ basis, that far left liberal democrats have been ignoring the past few decades, or more. Fools.
“I dont understand why most people here hate this guy. Hes exposing the governments unsavory deeds.”
If he had been whistle-blowing on something truly unsavory (Hillary plotting to invade Estonia to seize their sugar mines, etc.) there wouldn´t be much hate.
As it is, he dumps hundreds of thousands of documents that should be secret (according to law) regardless of the “size of government”, merely out of malice and misguided principle, in order to harm primarily the US.
I dunno. I am in Sweden right now, and the women involved are flaming feminists and lefties. I´d say it´s more of a case of the dangers of having sex in left wing circles (in this case with the women who invited him to lecture at Broderskapsrörelsen* - you never know when you end up in bed with a raving feminist.
Of course, I don´t know exactly what transpired (for obvious reasons), but I do suspect poor A getting a bad rap here.

“Who will trust a country who cant protect its secrets from world publication. A terrorist plan might be missed now, because of Wikileaks, and our sources will be afraid to talk to our operatives around the world.”
Who would trust ANY nation? You’d have to be a fool and most of these guys aren’t fools, they’ve got some thing that they think they’re going to get out of it. WikiLeak has just reminded them that the risks might be a bit higher than they thought so yes it will reduce our ability to get this type of information and increase the chance that we’ll have a few more successful terrorist attacks. The one to blame for this though is not the WikiLeader but the guy that is feeding him information and the US for not protecting this information. Who is going to trust a country that is this sloppy when it comes to protecting this kind of information?
As far as this starting a war? Please, nations don’t start wars because of this type of crap. Oh they may use this as an excuse but the real reasons are much more mundane like do I think I can win against so and so. Or how much land/stuff does he have that I want. Then they start looking for an excuse, any will do but this won’t be the real cause of something like that.
Earlier this month, Assange, from Melbourne, was facing charges of rape and molestation over a recent trip to Stockholm, Sweden. The rape charges have since been dropped by Swedish prosecutors but the molestation accusation is still outstanding.
British newspaper the Daily Mail has obtained a copy of the police statements made by the two women at the centre of the claims. These indicate that Assange had consensual sex with the women but was reported to police after he refused to use a condom or, later, take an STD test.
One, Anna Ardin, who helped bring Assange to Sweden for a speaking engagement, allegedly let Assange stay in her one-bedroom flat in Stockholm. They went out to dinner and, according to a “police source” quoted in the Daily Mail, “when they got back they had sexual relations, but there was a problem with the condom - it had split”.
I personally have a tempered feeling about him. I see that he is doing some unjust harm, and I don’t like that. But I also see your argument which is also true much of the time, and it that regard he is doing a good thing. What did it for me was when he published the clear names of countless Afghans who informed on the Taliban invaders. They are getting their throats cut, and this arrogant little bastard just shrugs it off. He deserves a bullet in the neck for that one alone.

I believe that Barky and his master (Soros) gave the OK. How could they not have? Assange made his intentions known well in advance of the release and these wackaloons did nothing? Sorry, but this doesnt pass the smell test.

I couldnt agree more with that and think that many folks feel the same way. It is all just too fishy. Boy, they think we are a bunch of dumb-bunnies.
WikiLeaks was a BO False Flag Op from the beginning. WikiLeaks trashes President Bush and the repubs in advance of the 2010 election, then trashes HC in advance of the 2012 primary. In hundreds of thousands of Wikileaks, there is no mention of BOs BC, passports, muslim faith etc., how much more obvious that BO is behind WikiLeaks does it need to be?
That won't be a problem. All that's needed is a Geiger counter.
You can take a hike too, buddy.
And take Glenn Beck with you.
Thanks.
>And take Glenn Beck with you.
I didn’t reference Glenn Beck at all.
Eye am vary week in the area of homonyms myself.
yes
Julian Assange was born 3 July 1971 - when Jim died
