“Plus, the strong graphic character of their billboard overrides their verbal message. It just reminds people of the holy birth of the Christ child.”

That’s also what I noticed the most about the billboard. It’s actually one of the best graphical depictions of the Nativity that I’ve ever seen.

#####

Indeed. Quite moving. Complete with historically documented Star of Bethlehem.

You’ll note too, that Mary, the Mother of God is praying.

Even the palm trees are bowing to Him. And dittos on the previous post that the Wisemen came later. But - it is all part of the Christmas story so gets lumped in there. Also - never any mention of THREE Wisemen (just three gifts!). I used to do this with the kids once they were old enough, seperating the miconceptions (such as the wisemen, and perhaps even the born in a “stable”. Manger yes, “stable” - perhaps not, more like an attached space to a house some have suggested which makes sense as well.

And also teaching them some of the deeper meanings. Such as the three gifts. Valuable yes, and gifts typical for a King. The rare spices also used for burials.

Also is wonderful to go over the OT prophecies in relation to the birth and then read the Christmas story.
