TYSONS CORNER, Va. - The 50-year-old grandmother accused with throwing her granddaughter to her death off a parking garage walkway has been charged with murder.
Carmela Dela Rosa allegedly threw two-and-a-half-year-old Angelyn Ogdoc off a sixth floor outdoor walkway at Tysons Corner Center around 7:15 p.m. Monday, Fairfax County Police spokesperson Tawny Wright tells WTOP.
She is currently being held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.
Dela Rosa, of Fairfax, was walking with other family members Monday evening when in a matter of seconds she picked up and threw the girl off the walkway, Wright says.
Emergency responders took Ogdoc to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where she later died. Police were notified of her death at roughly 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

I hope you’re right !
Too quick. I say drop her from 5 feet and then repeat, increasing it a foot each time, until she's dead. Then, you can start a pool on what height would be her last. I call 26'. Make sure she goes feet first so it will take longer. Having a two and a half year old myself, I can not think of anything appropriately horrible enough to do to someone who would do that to the epitome of innocence.
Wow, what a nasty post. The last time someone so gratuitously conflated two completely different subjects in order to slander someone, the poster ended up having been previously convicted of running a prostitution ring to coverup their drug smuggling from Mexico. Ever been to Mexico? Hey, just asking.
You don't find it conceivable that a man who was, at least rational to the point that he didn't find himself in a new scandal every six months, suddenly becomes an apparent raving lunatic? JUST AFTER making The Passion? One the most religious inspiring movies ever? Again, I'm not saying I do or don't believe in demonic possession, but how you determined there was anything "nasty" about that post is quite puzzling.
Crazies ping.
LOL!
(thanks Gene Eric)
The only thing that comes to mind here is that there has to be a special place in Hell for people that do that to innocent children.
I cannot conceive of such a person who could do that. I just can’t.
This woman needs to be gone from us forever.
The reason I’m not an LEO today or ever was is because I would have walked up to her, told her she was under arrest and then tossed the bitch over the rail.
>>She was always like this. Her own kids were probably seconds away from death at times. She just finally crossed the line she’d been bumping up against for decades.<<
You mean to say she is not one of the Mexican people Bush referred to as having ‘family values’? How can that be?
Yeah, that was my problem too. No suspect of this caliber would ever make it anywhere near custody if I found 'em first.
Just another missing person. Cold case. Unmarked shallow grave in the desert...
Actual justice for change, instead of "law enforcement".
