Was there any security at all? An army private had unfettered access? Wow, what is going on?
Sounds like there was no such security here.
Exactly!
What's going on?
,P> I can tell ya...
This is right up there with Bush rolling out the red carpet for a conga-line of *millions* entering illegally, during wartime...
This is right up there with Bush's Homeland Security Chief Chertoff, when it was discovered he had people wandering around the inside of his private residence, that had entered this country illegally.....
*During war time*.
This story stinks. The soldier was probably working in a SCIF (Secured Compartmented Information Facility). That’s an educated guess. Given the volume of leaked documents, that is the only place he could retrieve that amount of information. OPSEC and COMSEC, that’s operational and communication security, have strict guidelines and controls that must be administered and adhered too. I.E. logs. anything in or out is logged and monitored. Any computer activity and traffic is logged and monitored. No way he get’s in or out with a CD, piece of paper, or memory stick. Any download or burn would have been caught almost immediately. Unless this kid is the Einstein of hackers, I ain’t buying it.
“Something about this is very fishy....we need to know who was in charge of security and what they were thinking. This happened on Hillary’s watch, and I’m sure it’s up to her to get to the bottom of this.”
This made me recall that early when Ms. Clinton took over State, there was some noise about a complete computer system overhaul at the State department.
I will try to find that noise again.
1. Ideological subversion is the process which is legitimate, old word, and open. You can see it with your own eyes. All American mass media has to do is to "unplug bananas" from their ears, open up their eyes, and they can see it. There is no mystery. It has nothing to do with espionage. I know that espionage intelligence gathering looks more romantic. It sells more deodorants through the advertising. That's probably why your Hollywood producers are so crazy about James Bond types of films. But in reality the main emphasis of the KGB is NOT in the area of intelligence at all.According to my opinion, and the opinions of many defectors of my caliber, only about 15% of time, money, and manpower is spent on espionage as such. The other 85% is a slow process which we call either ideological subversion, active measures, or psychological warfare. What it basically means is: to change the perception of reality of every American that despite of the abundance of information no one is able to come to sensible conclusions in the interest of defending themselves, their families, their community, and their country. It's a great brainwashing process which goes very slow and is divided into four basic stages. The first stage being "demoralization"...---KGB Defector Yuri BezmenovSoviet Subversion of the Free Press (Ideological subversion, Destabilization, CRISIS - and the KGB)
