Oh, dear. And just in time for the Christmas Winter holidays!!

Key phrase: "...to demonstrate concern..." In other words: phony 'proposal' intended to gin up brownie points for the WH to deflect truth about crazy, out of control spending from the current regime!

Do y'all think there will be rioting in the streets like the recent ones in France and Greece over this proposal? Personally, I doubt it will happen, but then again...this whole bizarro current regime is capable of anything! But I think this will be twisted in some way that turns out bad not only for gubmint workers, but ALL of us. *sigh*

This freeze will save a grand total of 5 Billion dollars through 2012 (out of 14 Trillion in debt)...it’s better than nothing, but nothing more than a drop in the bucket.

http://blog.heritage.org/2010/11/29/after-the-freeze-real-reforms-toward-fair-federal-pay/

And this “freeze” of course comes *after* federal salaries have been boosted beyond comparable jobs in the private sector in recent years. The raises have already been baked in the cake...

So when deflation hits, they’ll actually be better off.

According to Fox this will save 2 Billion per year.

We have 300 Billion a year going in foreign aid. Lets stop all this.

You raise salaries across the board in the first year, sufficient to weather a 2-year freeze, and THEN you freeze ‘em. Voila! It looks like you’re doing something! One of the oldest Washington tricks in the book. Slimeballs.

Did you hear the caller to Rush’s show today? The “wages” are not actually being frozen. In a nutshell, if an employee gets moved up a step within his GS range, he gets his increase as long as it is accompanied by an increase in “step.” (At least, I believe this is what the caller was saying...)

Don’t worry. The unions will not allow this to happen. It sounds nice, but Congress would have to mandate this by law.
