Isn’t it rather hypocritical to lambast the Times for publishing this material when we’re all reading it here on Free Republic as well?

To be fair: Most of it is common knowledge anyway.
"Berlusconi feckless, vain, and ineffective as a modern European leader" - who would've guessed (except... like... everyone)?

"Sarkozy thin-skinned and authoritarian"? That's what LeMonde says every day.

"Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan governs with a cabal of incompetent advisors".. you don't say.

That's just the kind of gossip you get from listening to disgruntled assistants. The only juicy parts are the spying on the UN and the coalition of Arab nations against Iran. Not because it's unthinkable - such has long been suspected, but because now it's confirmed.

Not really, as the New York Times has been a source of anti-american socialist drivel written by mentally ill homosexuals since the time of reconstruction. They dish out the crap; FR dissects. Pinch should be tried for treason and hanged. That would happen if we had a real chief executive rather than a Chicago street punk from a criminal underworld.

NO.

Hypocrisy is a moral relative term that in and of itself is morally and ethically moot. Your argued point as such is pointless -the left use this "hypocritical" argument ofthen when they disagree with something.

What do you disagree with that "Free Republic" and it's members are doing?

Depends. Has the New York Times been cooperating actively with WikiLeaks ahead of publication to disseminate this information as widely as possible?

I believe that they have, so the comparison isn´t very good. Of course, if I am misinformed, your point stands.

As the information seems to be mostly of the “damaging to Obama and / or Hillary” kind, this is also a good spot for conservatives to take a principled stand on the issue of leaking classified information.
