“Did you?”

Did you mean to say, “Didn’t you (vote for abortion)?”

“Let’s see, it was a 3 panel jury in the state of Texas.”

I think you meant to say “three-judge panel.”

“You do remember Sarah T. Hughes right? Only woman to ever swear in a president? She was on the panel.”

Yes, one of three.

“You didn’t vote for LBJ did you? How about JFK?”

The United States Census Bureau defines the demographic birth boom as between 1946 and 1964.

To have voted in 1960, one would have had to have been born in or before 1939. LBJ stood for election in 1964, when voters had to have been born in or before 1943.

So, no: the baby-boomers did not vote for JFK or LBJ.

“...justices don’t get appointed without presidents. No LBJ, no Sarah T Hughes...”

Vell, let’s chust have a look at that: “…in 1935 Hughes accepted an appointment by Governor James Allred as judge of the Fourteenth District Court in Dallas...The next year Texas voters elected her to the position and then re-elected her six more times, every four years through 1960...She was appointed to the federal bench by JFK in 1961” (Quoted from Pickyweedia)

I’d like to hear how either the baby-boomers or LBJ are responsible for any of that.

“Open your eyes. You are aware they just had the 40 day vigil for Life picketing at all the clinics?”

Good grief, is your generation so saturated in estrogen that picketing seems equivalent to ‘rising up in rebellion?’

“I guess I’m just a foolish old kid who doesn’t know nothing about anything.”

You are certainly making a strong case for that proposition. With one irrelevant exception, everything you asserted as fact was incorrect.

What was incorrect?

Did I say that boomers voted for LBJ? No. I didn’t say anything of the sort. I asked if you voted for LBJ. Simple yes or no question.

Sarah Hughes would not have been in the position that she was put in without the endorsement of LBJ, and she would not have kicked it up to the supremes without LBJ. Suffice to say, Kennedy himself wouldn’t have been in his position without LBJ either, who helped him carry TX.

The point I was making, is that elected officials have an enormous impact on the judiciary.

So that being said, what are your thoughts on Planned Parenthood vs Casey?

“that picketing seems equivalent to ‘rising up in rebellion?”

It takes guts to go up and do it. Have you ever done it, DSC? Have you ever stood your ground against a mob? I’ve done it. Physical force is countered by soul force.
