I agree. I could easily vote for Sarah for President, but at this point I wonder about the level of vitriol she inspires from the left....almost as much at this point as the anti-Bush vitriol. Running Sarah might just produce a similar election scenario from last election where there were probably a lot of ‘anti-Bush/Repub’ votes in addition to pro-Obama votes. Granted, all Repub/Conservatives get an anal exam by the media, but they have a 4 yr head start beating up Sarah and it’s going to take it’s toll especially amongst the supposed ‘independents’ who are weak kneed to begin with.

Would Conservatives (like me) love her? Undoubtedly...but Conservatives by and large vote in large percentages regardless, so you’re not going to get many more votes from them...the question is going to be, how do non-conservatives (or the so called conservative leaning independents) feel about Palin?

Running Palin at this point would be little different than running Gingrich or even Hillary! by the Dems...they are now highly polarizing figures that would need to overcome significant obstacles (public opinion formed by repetitive media bashing, right or wrong) to win.

Granted, running Sarah against Obama would be almost perfect in creating a stark alternative, but it would do a lot of Obama’s leg work for him in riling up the leftists...now if the economy tanks like it did for Carter against Reagan....different ballgame.

Do you have any recollection of how thoroughly Reagan was trashed in the media? Have you happened to notice that the economy has already tanked?
