George W. Bush's return to the spotlight has resulted in big sales for his memoir, "Decision Points."
His publisher, Crown, said Wednesday that the former president's book has sold more than 1.1 million copies since hitting shelves two weeks ago, The Associated Press reported.
More than 135,000 copies were sold as e-books, according to the publisher.
Bush kept a low profile after leaving office last year, declining interviews and avoiding comment on his successor and politics in general. But he emerged this month to promote the book, appearing in interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly.

If you look at people who tear down others, you’ll see that they are the ones who end up looking bad.
Jesus said to turn the other cheek. He IS wisdom.
“Why?
This is my REASON:
I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH BUSH 43 on this:
He said that he had set aside free market principles [the reason I truly believe in] when 2008 Financial Crisis occurred ... justifying his signing of TARP 1 [the irrationality of Bush 43.]
Reference: Go to NBCs Matt Lauer with Bush 43 when he promoted his book in that LSM.
I STAND WITH MY REASON VS. BUSH 43!
Hates bailouts!”
You are obviously too ill informed, uneducated and mentally challenged to use “reason” to discern anything. So just shut up and crawl back under your rock.
I blame the MSM for not doing their job...if they told the truth, many would not have voted for him. If they were as tough on democrats as they are on republicans, this country would be better off...
We need to know what he was going through during the WOT.
I’m currently reading the book. It’s a wonderful read, full of GWB’s dry humor, candid discussions of why and how he took some of the key decisions he did, and insights into how the White House and an administration operates. Although he doesn’t dwell on it or do “drama,” his emotions come through many times. I also think that any conservative who gives the book a fair reading will realize just how conservative GWB was as president.
Just wanted to add that I’ve only had the book a week, and several times already strangers who have seen me reading it in public places have come up to me to ask what I think of it. People who were opponents and people who voted for him — all seem fascinated.
To get some insights into the man's decision-making process, maybe? Or to learn what 9/11/01 was like from his position? Of course, you are free to choose ignorance if so desired. *shrug*
Be a smart ass if you want, but there is NO doubt who wrote this book. GWB's speaking voice. Dry, witty, blunt, with emotions just under the surface. Even the cadence of his written words matches the cadence of the way he speaks.
Bush=Great president, at he time we needed a strong man, he was the right man for the job...just remember him on 9/12..the country needed a strong person, he was IT.
BTW..I would have voted for him a third time.
As Ronald Reagan said..I'll take 80% anytime..go for the 20% later...Ronnie would not have past the “pure” test...
I won’t accept someone who’s only five percent conservative, like Romney, when there are plenty of eighty percenters and above around, like Palin.
I love her Alaska series...I like her.
There’s no doubt that Dubya wrote the book. If a ghostwriter truly authored the book, I think we’ll notice it right away.
But Bush43 is not an “epitome” of decision-making, IMHO. But that’s me speaking.
Sorry for disturbing the peace. I leave you now to your search for “wisdom” and knowledge.
W and his clan are much more Connecticut then Texas.....or much more Vermont then South Philly :)
Bush-The President who gave us Obama and the Democrat Congress!
That made my day!
