George W. Bush's return to the spotlight has resulted in big sales for his memoir, "Decision Points."

His publisher, Crown, said Wednesday that the former president's book has sold more than 1.1 million copies since hitting shelves two weeks ago, The Associated Press reported.

More than 135,000 copies were sold as e-books, according to the publisher.

Bush kept a low profile after leaving office last year, declining interviews and avoiding comment on his successor and politics in general. But he emerged this month to promote the book, appearing in interviews with Oprah Winfrey, Jay Leno, Matt Lauer, Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly.

I’ll go for “W”s record any day. Election’s sometimes defy
all logic. Zer0 caught a wave of populist sentiment.
We knew Zer0 would be a disaster but the MSM was too strong.

You can’t blame anyone but the people who cast their vote for big “D”.

Just bought a new Sony eReader and the first book I bought was Decision Points. Took me three days and two service calls to get it downloaded. Seems the average book is about 1Mb and his is 43 Mbs. Screwed up Sony’s Reader downloader. Saving the book for my bass fishing trip to El Salto in December.

Why?

This is my REASON:

I STRONGLY DISAGREE WITH BUSH 43 on this:

He said that he had set aside “free market principles” [the “reason” I truly believe in] when 2008 Financial Crisis occurred ... justifying his signing of TARP 1 [the irrationality of Bush 43.]

Reference: Go to NBC’s Matt Lauer with Bush 43 when he promoted his book in that LSM.

I STAND WITH MY “REASON” VS. BUSH 43!

Hates bailouts!

George needs to put his mother on a leash with a muzzle.

I don’t want his book now.

Historians 100 years from now will view Bush as a strong President who was firm with the Muslims. Just IMHO.

Exactly. The only people to blame for B.O. Hussein are the people that voted for him.

Bush isn’t perfect. Reagan wasn’t perfect. Sarah Palin isn’t perfect. But all 3 love this country and what she stands for.

Hussein HATES our country, and if the people who voted for him had only looked behind the teleprompter they would have known that.

If you can control what your mother says, write your own book. LOL

If the democracy in Iraq holds and spreads to other countries in the middle east, Bush is going to be held up as a great president. Democracy=peace.

I would never waste my money on a garbage book from a very average president.

I’ll save it for the next Palin book or for a Jim Demint authored book.

The answer to your question is yes, he is a blue blood Connecticut elitist like his dad. Hope your confusion is cleared up now.

Of course if you compare W to Obama, W looks brilliant. The truth is they were two of the worst presidents this country has seen, and BOTH expanded the federal government like no president had ever before.

I’m glad he fought the War on Terror, and i’m glad he cut taxes, but this man did huge amounts of damage to the party and the conservative message.

I have no interest in reading this wimps book. “Compassionate Conservative” whatever!

“The same Poppy Bush who smeared an honorable conservative, Pete DuPont, by calling him “Pierre.” Pete DuPont is a gentleman - Poppy is not.”

It wasn’t a smear... Pierre is his given name.
Pierre Samuel “Pete” du Pont, IV

Pete is a great man, best Governor in all of Delaware’s history. Saved the state from bancrupcy.

Pete DuPont would have made a much better President than Poppy Bush. Probably a lot closer to Reagan than many Repubs before, during or after Reagan.

A real gentleman plus I became an even bigger fan when he stepped up for Christine O’Donnell. Christine was not perfect but she was better than any Dem and many Repubs including RINOs like Rove/McCain.

Sorry, I beg to differ with you. Remaining silent in the face of Obama’s lies and insults is sheer stupidity.

Keith Richards is NOT a nice man. See how his son Marlon lived with two junkie parents that he practically had to care for when he was only a young boy.

Marlon grew up to be a responsible man.
