And remember, folks, that when an armed robber is killed instead of wounded, it will save the taxpayers about $100,000. (Assuming an average $25,000/yr cost and 4 years in prison. Cost does not include expenses related to parole or probation, or the costs of additional crimes committed by the robber.)
Meanwhile, where available, the cost of ammunition is still very reasonable.

Charges filed against second man in M&K robbery
MASSILLON, OH
Charges have been filed against a second man in connection with an armed robbery and assault Sunday night outside M&K Supermarket in Massillon.
Massillon Municipal Court records show Cornell Wallace, 18, of 1516 41st St. N.E., Canton, is wanted on charges of complicity to aggravated robbery, a first-degree felony, and complicity to felonious assault, a second-degree felony. Wallace allegedly lured a 22-year-old Massillon man to the supermarket parking lot, 1619 Walnut Road S.E., where he was then beaten in the head with a 9mm handgun by Andrew Robinson, 20, of 119 Pulley Place S.E. Wallace was identified as Robinsons accomplice during an investigation by Massillon police, according to court records.
Robinson was arraigned Thursday in municipal court following his release from Affinity Medical Center. An unidentified bystander reportedly shot Robinson in the groin after witnessing the robbery and beating. The bystander has not been charged.
Robinson remains jailed on $250,000 bond and is due in court Monday for a preliminary hearing on charges of aggravated robbery, felonious assault, robbery and grand theft of a motor vehicle.
Robinson reportedly was trying to sell cigarettes to the victim when he demanded cash, according to police. Robinson fled the scene on foot, but later was apprehended by officers at an apartment in the 1200 block of 16th St. S.E. The victim sustained several head lacerations, according to court records, and was treated and released at Affinity Medical Center. The gun was recovered in the store parking lot.
The robbery and grand theft of a motor vehicle charges filed against Robinson stem from a separate incident that allegedly occurred Sept. 21 in the 1700 block of 15th St. S.E.
Court records show Robinson ordered a 22-year-old man to undress and empty his pockets during the robbery. Robinson also is accused of stealing the victims 1996 Pontiac Bonneville.
