I hear you. It’s really sad that we’re spending our time trying to figure out who should win Dancing with the Stars, while Russia is figuring out how to explore the solar system, and China is on the verge of crushing us.

But, personally, I’m not impressed by Bristol - I think it’s all hype. What do you think?

Geez, at 20 days the thing would be going about 500 mph. Be like flying to the moon in a 747. What's the hold up? I think the Apollo missions only took about 3 days travel time each way.

Here's an image from the Westinghouse NERVA nuclear engine on the test stand at Jackass Flats, NV back in the 70s. I knew some guys who worked on that project. It performed just just as intended, but NASA decided they didn't need it and shut the project down.

The technology is still on the shelf somewhere I'd assume, but unfortunately, most of the brains behind it are either dead or in nursing homes. ;~((
