Congress could stay in their home office and conduct business electronically—web conferencing. This would save money on travel, security, housing, etc.

It would also keep them in their districts where they could actually DO the people’s business and they can be more readily accessible.

True. The Founding Fathers intended for them to live at home and visit D.C. Now they live in D.C. and visit home. When they retire, they stay in D.C.

Wouldn't it be interesting to know where some of the long-termers who were defeated last election will be living.

Several years ago, our congressman at the time stuck his hand out to a woman at a university function in a neighboring town, and said, "I'm Jack Brooks, your congressman." She said, " Hello, I'm "Blah Blah,"your next door neighbor."
