Actually, I have been choosing the driving option over flying short distances for some time. Example; I live in the DFW metroplex and have to travel to Austin every now and then. From my house to my destination is about 235 miles. I can usually make the drive in a little less than 4 hours. Total elapsed time to fly is about the same. Frankly, it’s much less hassle to just get in my truck and drive than deal with the airport hassle, rent car, etc.
