TEHRAN, Iran -- Iranian state radio says an arrest warrant has been issued for the son of influential former President Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani on charges of fomenting the 2009 postelection unrest.
The Tuesday report quotes deputy judiciary chief Ebrhim Raisi as saying the arrest warrant for Mahdi Hashemi has been issued and "he will be detained upon arrival in the country."

Perhaps related in some way (warning shot?) to the moves to impeach Amadinajad by the Iranian parliament.
He left the country last year for England.
They’ve been after him for a while because of his reformist activities following his father, but he’s just too powerful, famous and loved to take out. You may be right that the impeachment forced their hand.
