“This NYT article is a much more complete account of this mess. It says NATO and Afghan officials are the ones who dealt personally with the imposter.”
Thanks for the link. What a mess. Even the NYT can’t put a happy face on this one.
I just can’t fathom this story, or why its received so little attention. Am I to understand that the U.S. military was in sensitive peace talks regarding a conflict we’ve been fighting for 9 years with an impostor? Was the Obama Administration fully aware of this? If so, how does this not solidify, for all time, this administration’s title as the most incompetent in history? I am dumbfounded by this.

A Democrat president can be as incompetent as he likes and the media will have his back. If they don’t print/broadcast it, it ain’t news. Slanting the news can be done by omission as well as commission.
Didn’t you notice how little space/time the verdict in the first civilian trial of a terrorist got?
How many people know that Obama thinks there are 57 states? (But, how many will know that Sarah Palin misspoke once and called South Korea North Korea?)
Why isn’t there a full court media press about the traitor leaking to Wikileaks? And why s/he keeps getting away with it?
